Dr Sofia Cavill is a highly experienced Specialist in Acute and General Internal Medicine, recognised for her diagnostic precision and personalised approach to managing complex, multi-system medical conditions. She is known for her clarity, compassion, and coordination, and is frequently described by patients as thorough, pragmatic, and deeply attentive.
She provides a bespoke medical service for adults facing clinical complexity, whether due to ambiguous symptoms, multiple comorbidities, or the need for coordinated input across several specialties. Her role is to bring clinical insight, continuity, and structured coordination to what can otherwise be a fragmented or confusing healthcare experience.
Clinical Background & Leadership
Dr Cavill graduated with honours from King’s College London and completed her specialist training across leading hospitals in central London. She is currently based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Trust.
She previously served as Director of Ambulatory Emergency Care, where she led the development of the hospital’s Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service, enabling thousands of patients to receive specialist treatment without hospital admission.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Cavill was appointed Lead for the Covid Medicines Delivery Unit (CMDU) for North West London, overseeing the highest-performing CMDU in the UK, as featured by the BBC. She has also held the role of Clinical Lead for Sepsis.
