Dr Shabana Bora is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with over a decade of expertise in reproductive medicine and private healthcare. She trained and practised at one of London’s leading fertility clinics, where she developed a reputation for delivering compassionate, personalised care to women and couples seeking fertility support.
For more than ten years, Dr Bora has worked as a consultant in private healthcare, providing bespoke, consultant-led treatment across all aspects of reproductive health, including IVF, egg freezing, and egg and sperm donation. Her clinical expertise covers a broad range of conditions, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve, and male factor infertility. She is deeply committed to supporting all women, regardless of ovarian reserve, to explore every available option on their fertility journey.
Dr Bora played a pioneering role in establishing one of London’s first embryo donation banks, offering couples the opportunity to donate surplus embryos created through assisted conception to help others affected by infertility achieve their dream of parenthood.
As a co-founder of Alma Fertility, a female-consultant-led clinic based in South West London, Dr Bora is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and compassion. Through collaborations with two of London’s leading fertility centres, Alma Fertility combines a personal, patient-centred approach with world-class laboratory science to achieve the best possible reproductive outcomes.
Specialist Training, Research & Awards
Dr Bora graduated from King’s College School of Medicine, London and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North West London. She undertook research fellowships in Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy at St George’s University Hospital and in Reproductive Immunology at Imperial College London before being appointed as a Consultant in Fertility.
